Christmas 2008

Another exciting Christmas morning which started at 7:10 a.m. with Morgan waking up Chase and then it went from there! The turn of events were a little different this year. They both slowed down and actually looked over the wealth of gifts given from everyone. We enjoyed Grandma Jean's company for three nights and her love for games.

The big hit for Chase was a cotton candy machine which created many cones of fluffy delight all day long! Morgan enjoyed her wide array of clothing which she desperately needed. We all enjoyed the day just staying indoors and being with each other. The white snow outside made for a beautiful Christmas day!

December- Family Gifts - From God

Time has passed quickly this year and we are so grateful for all the priceless gifts that we have enjoyed! The children have been involved in many activities and their personalities are beginning to shine.
In October Chase put on his Clone suit and enjoyed the Halloween contest with his friend Sam. They both looked great as they visited the the Greenhouse and Concordia's dorms. Morgan did some tricking and just a little treating. She enjoyed her friends at Amigos and they all walked around together.
Chase then celebrated his 9th birthday. He wanted a Dodgeball birthday party. We reserved the church and 13 children threw balls at each other for 3 hours. They all had a great time and could have probably played another 2 hours if we had let them! Chase delighted us with songs associated with the Stars and Stripes at his music program and Morgan also entertained us with her 8th grade choir program. Morgan has been taking piano lessons on Monday evenings and Chase started the recorder at school in his music class. There are a lot of notes coming from our hill these days.
Thanksgiving was spent at the farm in Ogallala. We continue to try and help Grandma Joyce and Grandpa Dave prepare for their move to Nebraska. Chase enjoyed Uncle Carson's barn and worked on his target shooting. He then purchsed a new b-b gun with his birthday money. He begs Dad to go to the barn to shoot cans at night and walks the fence line looking for birds.
