Halloween was here and gone before we knew it! Chase dressed up as a "Cotton Candy Man" this year and ended up with second place at the annual costume party in Seward. He was very serious about his idea, and it turned out to be quite a money making scheme. He earned 7 dollars selling his cotton candy and ended up with enough candy for his cold lunch treat for the next two months! Morgan gets credit for designing his shirt and Grandma Jean got him to the contest.

I have been extremely busy trying to help Mom clean out Uncle Houston's house. I didn't realize how big of a chore it would be trying to get rid of a hundred years of memories. It was both physically and emotionally draining. I flew out to Idaho the last week of October and helped clean out the house. It was difficult hearing mom describe her life in one breath because a memory was triggered by a simple piece of material. Then watching her turn and make the decision to throw it away. It was a very difficult process moving through time and discarding precious moments which will probably never be discussed again. It saddened me the most to realize that my mom has now taken over as "Grandma" and I am now "Mom."

Chase has been keeping busy helping Mike with magic shows. They will be doing their fourth show tomorrow morning for St. John. They really make a great team!

Morgan is dating other boys now and enjoying her time with her Seward friends. We have been very proud of the amount of dedication she has given to her school work this quarter. She was recognized for her efforts last Friday at the "Honor Society Breakfast." She really enjoys her clubs and will be attending a cluster meeting with the FCCLA group in two weeks in Kentucky.
